Etihad have teamed up with our partners at Harlequins to create The Etihad Grass Roots Fund; a £10,000 fund, the purpose of which is to assist mini and junior rugby development at deserving amateur clubs across the South East of England and beyond. Any school or club with a junior rugby section can apply for whatever they need to help develop the game in their community – whether that's some new balls, or a changing room refurbishment, and anything in between.
How It Works
If you want our support, download an application form, and let us know why your club should be a winner. The form will ask for various details regarding how you plan to utilise any assistance offered. Return your completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org before the closing date April 12th 2014. Winners will be announced one week later. Your project can take any form which benefits junior rugby, and you can apply for any amount of the fund, from £10 to the whole £10,000, but the more money you request, the more you'll have to impress our expert judges – England and Harlequins captain Chris Robshaw, Quins' Diector of Rugby Conor O'Shea, and Etihad Sponsorship Manager Briony Trevethan. Lucky winners might even get the chance to welcome the Quins players down to their club, to do some expert training and present them with their new equipment.
The fund is open to rugby clubs, schools, or any organisation which seeks to bring our game to young people. Remember, this fund isn't about rewarding the biggest clubs, but those who we feel are committed to helping mini and junior rugby in their community. Your club, or a school you know could benefit – so get involved!
